Take a walk on the wild side with Crystal Peaks Pride of Yorkshire fun
Visitors to Crystal Peaks shopping centre can take a walk on the wild side throughout the summer holidays with a range of free family activities all based around the year’s biggest and most popular charity event.

Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity Pride of Yorkshire Sculpture Trail, featuring 150 large lion and lioness sculptures and 150 smaller lion cubs is now live across Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, celebrating 150 years of medical care for the region’s children.
As a longtime supporter of the charity, Crystal Peaks is hosting four of the main lions as well as 12 of the smaller cubs, which are located throughout the mall.
And to add to the fun for young visitors on the popular lion trail, the centre’s holiday time activities - taking place every Friday for six weeks - will have a lion theme.
Things get under way on Friday July 24 with a day inspired by Mindful Mane, the mindfulness lion created by artist Sanna Florence - look out for activities including chalk board art, giant bubbles and family yoga and meditation sessions.
On Friday July 31, the centre will host a Roaring Workshop, with the chance to have a go at the special Lion Doodle Wall, create lions and headbands using air dry clay and also take part in a Lion Hunt.
Other Friday activities later in the summer will feature events based around the Crystal Peaks lions designed by artists Liah Edwardes, Lydia Monks and Jina Gelder - look out for further details coming soon.
