Roofbase to open new Sheffield store as part of northern expansion
Roofbase is set to extend its reach into the North with a new branch in Sheffield, due to open in January.
The new site on Atlas Way will take the independent specialist roofing merchant to 10 branches and is described by the company as the start of a wider expansion plan for the region.
Founded in 2017, Roofbase has focused on supplying roofing materials from established brands in the sector. The Sheffield site will serve roofers, builders and contractors working on pitched and flat roofing projects, while the company also plans to recruit locally for the branch.
Roofbase said the aim is to build a team with knowledge of Sheffield’s roofing trade and to keep the personal service associated with an independent merchant.
Tom Sadler, Commercial Manager North, is leading the move into the North. He has more than 20 years of experience in the roofing and builders’ merchant industry and will oversee the Sheffield branch as well as the growth of Roofbase’s northern network.
Steve Lloyd, Managing Director of Roofbase, said: “Opening in Sheffield and reaching our tenth branch is an exciting milestone for Roofbase. This marks the beginning of our expansion into the North, and with further branches planned, we’re looking forward to bringing the Roofbase offering to more trade customers across the region while maintaining the personal service and expertise that sets us apart as an independent merchant.”
