Volunteering award first
YORKSHIRE Water is the first organisation to receive a national award recognising its commitment to volunteering.
The Investing in Volunteers for Employers quality mark recognises excellence in employer-supported volunteering.
Last year 38 per cent of its employees took part in a volunteering programme, and staff are also free to give time to projects of their own choice.
The firm has launched its biggest ever volunteering campaign, which aims to create 350 school gardens over three years.
