'Tramlines is great idea but I don't like the organisation of it' - Reader's letter
Roy Rogers on the organisation of Tramlines...
I’m in my 70s and I use Hillsborough Park most days.
I think Tramlines is a great idea and I don’t mind the inconvenience of parking, but what I don’t like is the council ways of organising it.
School kids starting big summer holidays so the council deny 90% of the park to them, dog owners 95% of the park inaccessible, local businesses lose trade because no pass outs to festival goers so probably most trade and profits go to out of town companies (receipts show where companies registered).
Why not hold it in June when kids at school and allow local businesses to prosper?
I realise they will ignore what I say because I’ve only paid my council taxes to them for 55 years or so...
