Over the summer, many teens may be left wondering what to do with themselves before school starts again this September.
Especially considering this month’s amazing weather, teens may want to get out of the house yet find themselves puzzled as to what they can do to make their summer far more interesting.
Many interesting events are happening that should spark the interest of Sheffield’s youth, with lots of exciting things to explore.
As a teenager myself, I have composed a list of seven of the most exciting events going on in...

5. The Showroom
This summer, the Showroom is hosting a weekend of '80s film, featuring classics from ‘The Thing’ to ‘The Princess Bride’. The event is from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th of August, with prices for tickets largely varying and the cheapest starting from £4.99. Additionally, weekend passes are up for sale allowing people to watch all seven films with one £45 purchase. Other films featured during the weekend include: First Blood, Big Trouble in Little China, They Live, Clue, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off, The Thing and The Princess Bride. | 3rd party
6. Outdoor Cinema
On the 30th of August, from 5pm to 9.30pm, Lumora Experiences are hosting an outdoor cinema event at Millhouses Park. Disney’s Queen of Katwe will be on display for attendees on the giant outdoor cinema screen. The website also boasts a family friendly atmosphere as well as BBQ and grilled food. Other than the critically acclaimed film that is on display, face painting and table tennis are available, with drinks, sweets and cinema snacks for sale. Entry for the movie starts at £4.98. | Dean Atkins Photography
