From a much-loved market’s big revival to a socially-distanced street food barbecue, here are 10 of the best activities and events the city has to offer on August 29, 30 and 31.
9. Meet the animals
Graves Park Animal Farm in Norton is welcoming visitors with a booking system in place. Families can see their favourite animals and even sponsor them too under a new scheme. (https://www.facebook.com/gravesparkanimalfarm) Photo: Chris Etchells
10. Explore city's rich heritage
Kelham Island Museum is open to visitors again. Visitors are advised to pre-book as tickets are limited - those aged under 16 go free and adult admission has been reduced to £5. The River Don Engine can be viewed but won't be 'in steam', and the on-site pub The Millowners Arms has a large beer garden. (http://www.simt.co.uk/welcome-back) Photo: Andrew Roe
