5. Shocking floods
This is The Wicker following the floods of June 2007, which were the worst for more than a century, leaving 48,000 homes without power and forcing the RAF to deploy helicopters to rescue stranded residents. Two people died in the floods after unceasing rain fell on Sheffield. Photo: Dennis Lound
6. Heavy snow comes early

7. The Beast from the East
The so-called 'Beast from the East' - which got its name as it was caused by freezing Siberian air - first hit in February in Sheffield, bringing more than seven inches of snow. 8. Turning up the heat
