Speaking ahead of the announcement being made, The Rosadocs frontman Keelan Graney said: “Since we were kids, picking up our instruments and living in the areas around Sheffield we’d always wanted to play O2 Academy Sheffield.” said frontman Keelan Graney, Rosadocs.
“We have been lucky enough to support some amazing bands there and this feels like such a special full circle moment to not only be returning to headline, but to be reopening this iconic venue that means so much to us. We are certainly going to make this a night to remember.”
The year 2026 marked a pivotal milestone for The Rosadocs as work began on their debut album. As part of this new chapter, the band teamed-up with Tri-Tone, a management roster boasting renowned British and international talent such as Badly Drawn Boy, The Coral, Jamie Webster, Red Rum Club, and The Lathums.
Their upcoming autumn run will see the band perform at an impressive list of venues across the UK, as well as playing two (already sold out) nights at Sheffield’s Crookes Social Club next month.
A stacked lineup of regional talent will join them for the massive launch event, featuring appearances from Crystal Tides, The Slates, Spanish Horses, Harriet Rose, and Sonni Mills.
Bringing this wave of South Yorkshire acts to the stage highlights the venue's ongoing commitment to supporting and platforming local music as it prepares to re-enter the city's vibrant live circuit.
Ever since launching in 1968 as the legendary Top Rank Suite, the building has stood as a celebrated pillar of Sheffield's nightlife, hosting countless unforgettable shows. Welcoming this fresh generation of artists for the reopening night marks an exciting start to the iconic venue's next chapter.
