McFly, Busted Sheffield Arena: Noughties pop legends announce massive Sheffield gig, and how to get tickets
Both the groups, who were among the most successful in the country in the 2000s, will be on the same bill at a show in the city next year, with McFly set to be the headliners.

Hide AdOrganisers say they expect it to be one of the most highly anticipated tours of 2025.


The Busted vs McFly Tour will see the two groups visit some of the UK’s biggest and best venues. They will kick the tour off in Birmingham and hit Sheffield on Friday, September 26, 2025.
McFly said in a band statement that Busted had challenged them to a VS tour next year. They added: ”They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year.

Busted said: “There’s been a lot of talk recently... This is where the talking ends....! We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all. McFly suck and Busted Rock!” Tickets go on general on sale Friday, October 18, 2024, at 9am via www.utilitaarenasheffield.co.uk.
Both bands were set up over 20 years ago.

Hide AdBusted first bounced into the charts with their debut single ‘What I Go To School For’, started a succession of hits for the trio, including the number ones smashes‘ Crashed The Wedding’, ‘Who’s David’, ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’, ‘You Said No’ as well as top three hits ‘Year 3000’, ‘Air Hostess’ and ‘Sleeping With The Light On’.
McFly’s first hit was ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’ and their recorded seven number ones include ‘Obviously’, ‘Star Girl’ and ‘All About You’.
The group were also back in the headlines last year when drummer Harry Judd was one of the stars involved in Celebrity Race Around the World.
