Sheffield City Council officially signed a friendship agreement with Nablus in October, 2024, with this upcoming event set to raise funds for Seeds, a social club in the West Bank city.
It will see live music, singing and poetry performances live-streamed directly from Seeds, as well as two bands performing on-site in Crookes.
There will also be a fundraising auction and a vegetarian food offering.
A poster announcing the event adds: “Our friends in Nablus experience daily life threatening pressures under the illegal Israeli occupation.
“Music and other forms of cultural expression are a powerful demonstration of their resistance.
“This is our chance to join with them directly in solidarity, through words, music and a shared audience experience which is always electric.”
