Sheffield Steelkings say Farewell to 83
Barry Grayson hung up his sledge at the weekend with a final match in his honour
On Sunday the Sheffield Steelkings Para Ice Hockey Club bid farewell to one of their longest serving players, in a testimonial match in his honour.

Number 83 Barry 'Baz' Grayson had been with the Steelkings ever since the club formed back in 2014. Having captained the Kings to success over many seasons, Baz decided that it was finally time to hang up his sledge for good.
The Steelkings hosted a final match in his honour, to see him off in style.

Starting off with a skills showcase, team Baz went up against a team made from the rest of the Steelkings, with the winner of each event earning a bonus goal for their team.
Team Baz took victories in the shooting, passing, and crab crawl competitions, while 'team White' won the fast lap and 'sauce' events. The final event before the game was a penalty shootout which saw team Baz come out the 4-1 victors, giving them a four goal lead going into the game.
Both teams put on a good display for Baz's final game, but only a single goal was scored in the match. This gave team Baz the win with a final score of 8-3, a fitting tribute for number 83's last game.
After the game Baz was presented with a commemorative trophy, before leaving the ice with a guard of honour.
