Of course, since the two clubs last locked horns at S6 in October 2014 the Hornets spent five years in the Premier League until their relegation back to the Sky Bet Championship at the end of last season.
But what’s happened to the players who lined up for the Owls in a 3-0 defeat back in the autumn of 2014?
Let’s take a look.

13. Royston Drenthe
The former Real Madrid flop played 15 times on loan for Wednesday before leaving to join Turkish top tier outfit Kayseri Erciyesspor in January 2015. He scored one Owls goal in a 1-1 draw at Charlton. The left-wing back, listed as playing for Dutch third tier club Kozakken Boys, is a colourful character off the pitch, trying his hand at rapping and earlier this year announced he was taking up acting. 14. Atdhe Nuhiu
Cult hero Nuhiu became only the second player this century to reach 50 goals for Wednesday when he bagged a second-half brace in the penultimate game of last season at Fulham. The 31-year-old, who played 277 times for the club across seven years before leaving when his contract ran out in the summer, also contributed 27 assists to the cause and later on in his Owls tenure became known for his penchant for important, injury-time contributions. He signed for Europe League hopefuls Apoel Nicosia last week. Photo: Steve Ellis
