When are Sheffield Wednesday's League One fixtures released? 11 key dates ahead of the season

With season ticket prices announced and after Premier League fixtures were released this morning [Wednesday], attention has turned to when Wednesdayites can expect to hear what their fixtures will be on their return to League One

There’s a long way to go in terms of the club’s preparations for the season itself.

Pre-season matches are yet to be confirmed beyond the one-off clash with Celtic, to be played at a Welsh training complex behind closed doors and there is much work to do on the playing squad ahead of the release of 10 senior players at the end of this month.

The extension of restrictions by the Government beyond June 21 has played havoc with clubs hoping to swing their doors open for the start of the season.

The transfer window is now open and the Owls are permitted to make free agent and no-fee loan transfer under the rules of their transfer embargo.
