DM on loan players cont.

Really pleased with how they’re doing. We know with Cam, it was about an injury lay-off.

He’s been great, player of the month, we looked at Exeter and saw that was part of the wonderful things they’re doing down there. It was the final part of his rehab.

We had eyes on Alex Hunt at Grimsby. To get that winning goal, to feel what it’s like to get those three points. We know about his ability, it’s about putting him in that environment.

They’re a good footballing team. Ryan has them well-rehearsed, playing fast football with a wonderful energy and spark about them.

They’re making good headway in the division. They’re a lot like Ryan in the way they play.

It’s going to be a real tough game down there; fast, quick, full of energy. They have a wonderful home support and fan base. Added with our supporters it bodes well.

We’re talking to one or two more others. Hopefully we can reach an agreement with those and settle that down.

There are still one or two more that we’ve opened talks with. We’ll see how the progress.

We’ll wait and see. I never take them for granted I always wait until it’s concrete.

We’re happy with what we’ve got. It’s been good to get some work into the players and now we’re just doing that which has been great.

DM on Hagan / young players

We’re looking to do that. It’s essential for their development. We’re pleased for Charles and the younger players.

They have to go out and contribute to teams and developing their games.

The purpose is to get closer to where we want to be in the first team. For Charles to get that is great. Hopefully we can get one or two more out sampling first team football.

We’ve been really pleased. I’m sure the fans will be pleased with his performances in international football.

We catch up with him either today or tomorrow. His performances have been excellent, solid.

There have been remarkable saves.

DM on Berahino cont.

We feel we’ve got one in him. We can’t discount the likes of Lee Gregory and Florian in those central positions.

The team has to supply those chances.

I’ve no hesitation starting him if we feel that’s right. He’s had a good week’s training, a good hit again today and he’s been in with the boys getting that work done.

We feel he has enough volume.

Mide brings a real goal threat to defences, a willingness to get in the right places to score goals. He had an excellent preseason and in every game he had opportunities.

He’s got a wonderful balance, wonderful flair and ability, great speed and agility to add to that.

Having him back offers us another attacking threat.

Darren is here.. first up on injuries

Not concerns, more about getting players back.

We’ll train today and tomorrow and be ready for the game at the weekend.

Hutch is a real positive to have him back. Mide is back in the squad and available for selection.
