Sheffield Wednesday press day LIVE: Sam Hutchinson and Darren Moore preview Plymouth trip

It’ll be a high-energy game. We’re more than up for the game.

That can happen. I didn’t see the game, we had our chances. We’re everyone’s cup final and we’re a massive club to be down here.

When you have as many people as well have we’re a target, it’s up to us to break teams down and get the win.

None of us ever wanted to leave. If you get a big offer from a big club or whatever, but me and Baz wanted to stay at the club. Palms the same, he’s been here since childhood.

Dom is a different case, he was injured but he’s looked at the project and seen where it’s going.

These lads are too good for League One in my opinion.

When you’ve been at a club so long, sometimes you need new challenges but it’s nice to stay where you’re at. I spoke to Baz, he never wanted to leave. It’s the same with Palms.

We’ve got a great mix, the youngsters and guys like Greggers and Saido, great experience.

SH on how quickly its come together

We’ve been good in games but if we click you’ll see a special Wednesday team. When it happens, someone will get a hiding.

We work hard, the gaffer has us working hard working on things. We get used to one another and we can click sooner rather than later.

SH on new faces / balance

It’s better than last year definitely. Balance, strength in depth, we’ve got a bigger squad.

The signings have been brilliant and the characters want to play with each other. We want to win together. There is that mentality.

SH on what’s changed

The gaffer’s philosophy, the way he is and his team.

They never saw the other bits and this is a good group and the same goals. We’re looking to achieve with this club.

..aaaand we’re off - first up SH on his injury

I haven’t been injured for ages. It was frustrating, a little niggly injury.

I’m fit and available and looking forward to it.

I came in last year, played 22 in 23 games and before that hadn’t been injured. I wanted to play 46 games but as long as the team is winning that’s the main thing.

We went to the playoff final and semi finals and this is the best atmosphere we’ve had. The management help and it’s very positive.

Good afternoon, Wednesdayites!

We’ll be speaking to Sam Hutchinson and Darren Moore this afternoon ahead of the Owls’ long trip to Plymouth Argyle.
