It was another one to forget for Sheffield Wednesday as they were beaten 1-0 by a Preston side that were desperate to end their horrendous run of form at home. Josh Windass got an early red card and Tom Barkhuizen got on the end of a Keiren Westwood punch to get the only goal of the game.
The Owls remain in the Championship relegation zone, and there wasn’t much to write home about in Lancashire from Tony Pulis’ SWFC debut.
9. Callum Paterson - 5
Was left very isolated after the red card and wasn’t able to get too involved in the game. Put himself about well enough, but pretty ineffective. Photo: Steve Ellis

Put himself about well enough and was pretty involved in the first half. Should have scored in the first half, and was too quiet in the second. Photo: Steve Ellis
11. Josh Windass - 4
Windass looked pretty good starting the game, was full of running and put himself about well up top. His early, early - unnecessary - red card really meant that Wednesday were up against it. Photo: Steve Ellis
