In a surprise announcement on Friday, the Owls confirmed that they had formed a ‘long-term’ partnership with the Italian sportswear brand, and said to watch out for future news on the kit launch itself.

The club explained in their statement there would be a pre-season training kit, travel kit and matchday kit for the upcoming trip to Wales, with Macron supplying a temporary kit for the friendly against Celtic on July 7th and also their ‘opening pre-season friendly fixtures’.

With that in mind, that Macron gear will not go on sale to supporters, but Wednesday did say that it ‘will be auctioned off at a later date to raise money for charities supported by SWFC and Macron’.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Dooley said, “We are thrilled to officially announce Macron as our new Official Technical Kit Partner… Macron are renowned for the design and quality of their kits and we are really excited about the striking new range for the 2021/22 season.

“We are really pleased with the commitment of a long-term deal which not only provides the club with a superior commercial package but will also offer our supporters the highest quality replica kits for years to come.

“We would like to thank our current partners Elev8 for their fantastic support over the past four seasons. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Macron.”
