The latest on Sheffield Wednesday’s pursuit of Manchester United starlet, James Garner
and live on Freeview channel 276
It’s previously been reported in the Lancashire media that the Owls had submitted an offer to the Premier League giants as they sought to bring talented teenager, James Garner, into the ranks at Hillsborough, and The Star understands that that offer remains on the table.
Garner, Ole Gunnar Solskjær and his Red Devils technical team are in the process of weighing up the plethora of options available to the in-demand midfielder, with the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City also said to be interested.

There is plenty to consider for the 19-year-old midfield man before a decision is made on his future, and the fact that he is so highly-regarded at Old Trafford means that the club is also keen to help him make the right decision.
Wednesday are relatively well stocked in the centre of midfield at this point in time, but the fact that he is so suited to the defensive midfield/deep-lying playmaker role makes him different to many of Garry Monk’s other options.
With all that in mind, The Star understands that Monk and the Owls are interested in getting a deal done for the reigning MUFC Reserves Player of the Year, however a decision is unlikely to be made until later into the transfer window.
