and live on Freeview channel 276
A bumper crowd of over 40,000 people is expected to turn out in the North East to watch the two League One giants go head-to-head, and the two sides will be eager to try and draw first blood ahead of the second leg at Hillsborough on Monday.
Wycombe Wanderers picked up a 2-0 lead at home on Thursday night as they got off to a great start against MK Dons, and Darren Moore will be hoping that home advantage doesn’t count for as much when the Owls take on the Black Cats this evening.

And that’s half time
Wednesday were moments away from taking things into the break at 0-0, but that Stewart opener has made it advantage Sunderland. It pumped this crowd up just as it was simmering down a bit.
You can’t say they’ve not been the better side, but that’s a horrible goal to concede. Hutchinson has been excellent this half, but his failed pass back gave Stewart a big opportunity. BPF got a touch on his first effort, but he was able to tap into an open net to make it 1-0.
Gregory covered in blood
The Wednesday striker is getting patched up after a bloody nose. He’s coming back on without a shirt number now, looks to be ok.
Plenty of noise in here!
Some good defending to get the ball away after a number of blocks, but the noise levels rocketed up as Berahino failed to get it clear after a good initial challenge. Luongo with a foul out wide, but the resulting freekick is cleared.
And again
Palmer finds his way into the Sunderland box, and his cross has got some power behind it. Patterson collects though.
Then it’s straight up the other end, and Peacock-Farrell tips a stray cross over the bar. Corner.
Whipped in
Palmer’s cross makes its way into the box, but Gregory can’t get enough on it to direct it goalwards... That’s been Wednesday’s best bit of play this half so far.
