Like so many other clubs around the world, the Owls have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the exclusion of fans costing them millions of pounds since the decision was taken earlier in the year to play behind closed doors.
Now, as we approach the 60-day mark since the deadline for rebate selections, the club have offered an update on the situation, insisting that everybody will get their refund, adding that they are in the process of sending back ‘in excess of seven figures’.

Hide AdWednesday also communicated once again the fact that they’ve been implementing a new ticketing system at the club alongside their new ticketing partner, something that would no doubt have been made easier if it wasn’t coupled with the global pandemic.
They said in a statement this week, “Over 55% of Season Ticket holders chose the pro rata refund which has resulted in refunds in excess of seven figures to administer. These were higher figures than anticipated which in turn has led to an extended process.
“We will fulfil the rebate option as promised, and although the process may take a short time longer than was anticipated for some supporters, everyone who selected that option will receive their refund. Please note that all refunds are being actioned by telephone only, Ticket Office staff are contacting supporters directly.”
Meanwhile, regarding this season’s ticketing, they added, “With regards to 2020/21 Season Tickets, we communicated our original plans on the basis that we expected a phased return of supporters in October and although this was paused, we, like all clubs across the country, are hopeful of more positive news when the Government discusses this critical issue on 9 November.
