Sheffield Wednesday's Izzy Brown on how he nearly signed for Owls previously and who played a big part in his signing

That’s according to the man himself, who yesterday took part in his first training session with the club just hours after completing a season-loan deal.
The attacking playmaker, who alongside Barry Bannan was among the Championship players last season with the highest creative output, played at Luton Town and has previously enjoyed temporary stints at Rotherham and Huddersfield.

Hide AdSpeaking to the club’s official website after his signing, the 23-year-old said: “I’m very, very excited. There have been a few conversations in the past about me coming here but it never happened but finally I’m here and I’m very happy to be here.
“I know Sheffield Wednesday from playing against them before, I know their fanbase.
“And obviously the manager was a very, very big part of it. Andy Hughes has come here now and I knew him from his time at Huddersfield. He’s a great guy and I wanted to play under both the manager and Andy again.”
Asked what Owls boss Garry Monk had said to him about the season ahead, Brown said: “He’s said that this is the season where I kickstart my career again. I’ve had my injuries in the past and he said this is the season I can prove how good a player I am, that I can go out and prove what I’m really capable of.

“The fans here are very passionate. Before the game one time one of the boys said to me, ‘watch the song they sing before the match’. I was on the pitch and they started to sing and I got goosebumps. This stadium, when they get up to full voice, it’s unbelievable.
“I try to do a lot of my work on the attacking side but I work hard off the ball, and hopefully I bring a bit of flair here.”
