It was reported earlier today that the 19-year-old was due to undergo a medical with the Owls ahead of his proposed move to Sheffield, with the player said to be keen on taking the next step in his career in search of more regular game time.

According to sources, Dele-Bashiru has now agreed terms on a three-year deal at Hillsborough that could see him through until 2023, with the teenager all set to become the first summer signing of Garry Monk’s squad rebuild at S6.

Monk has spoken often of a new profile of player that he wants to bring into the Owls squad, making mention of ‘young, hungry and dynamic’ footballers that can come in to aid the club as they go into the 2020/21 season.

Dele-Bashiru, who has come through the ranks at City’s famed academy alongside the likes of Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden, has been likened to Ivorian legend, Yaya Toure, in terms of his midfield role, and would no doubt be an exciting addition to Monk’s Owls setup at Hillsborough.

The Star understands that all went well regarding FDB’s medical this week, and with personal terms now being agreed, it could be only a matter of time before the talented teen’s switch to SWFC is completed and announced.
