Sheffield Wednesday vs Harrogate Town LIVE: 10 changes for Papa John’ Trophy tie

Key Events

  • David Agbontohoma makes Owls debut
  • Ciaran Brennan and Liam Waldock also start

Harrogate hit the post

Alex Pattison leads a breakaway from Harrogate’s half and after leaving Agbontohoma for dust he finds Jack Diamond, whose shot is saved by Wildsmith.

The rebound is smacked against the post before Wednesday clear the lines, only for Wildsmith to be called into action moments later with another goal-saving stop.

Shodipo’s ball across the face of goal finds Jack Hunt unmarked. He initially misses the shot but manages to retain control of the ball from underneath his find and find Berahino for a tap-in.

Jaden Brown has started at LCB and has looked comfortable so far. Certainly looks natural carrying the ball out from the back.

Early Harrogate switch

Jack Muldoon makes way for Aaron Martin

The Owls almost score with their first effort as Massumo Luongo hits the post with a curled effort from just outside the area.

Another chance falls to the visitors

Jack Diamond dances through a few challenges and tries a low effort from the edge of the box, which is parried away for a corner by Wildsmith.

Harrogate have started the brighter in the opening minutes.

The Owls get us underway

First chance falls to the visitors, but the effort from the edge of the box is weak and Wildsmith collects easily.

Starting XI broken down

Just three stands open tonight. Definitely one for the hardcore fans. Harrogate’s following must total two dozen.

Looking forward to seeing the likes of Agbontohoma, Waldock and Brennan in action regardless.
