Wednesday have a raft of loan players heading back to their parent clubs and decisions to be made by both club and players over a number of soon-to-be expiring contracts.
With their retained list yet to be published it’s not entirely clear just how much work is to be done in the recruitment stakes this summer, but all indications are it’s going to be a busy one.

5. Freddie Ladapo - Rotherham United
It all got a bit messy for Ladapo at Rotherham, where he secured another promotion from League One last season but tarnished his time there by submitting a transfer request in January. 6. Richard O'Donnell - Bradford City
Not perhaps the most glamorous name on the list, but one that could make sense. A Wednesdayite, O'Donnell's time at Bradford City has come to an end. The Owls look set to restructure their goalkeeping department - if Cameron Dawson is to come in, could the 33-year-old make an able deputy? It seems he's off to Rochdale in any case. 7. Conor Washington - Charlton Athletic
Another international - this time of Northern Ireland where he has earned 35 caps - striker Washington has 11 goals in each of his last two seasons in League One with Charlton. Knows his way around some big clubs having played at Hearts and QPR. Spent time at Sheffield United, also. Photo: Jacques Feeney
8. Hiram Boateng - Milton Keynes Dons
At 26, Crystal Palace academy product Boateng won't have much issue finding himself a club this summer, you feel. Combative, he spent time in and out of the MK Dons side in his three years there but played on 29 occasions in the league this season and may well be seen as a useful squad player for a promotion rival such as Wednesday this time out.
