Sheffield Wednesday ticket allocation confirmed for last away game at Oxford United

Scramble for tickets likely for last Owls away day of season despite only pride to play for

Sheffield Wednesday’s ticket allocation for their final away game of the season at Oxford United has been confirmed.

Owls fans have been a shining light despite relegation to League One being confirmed back in February, the earliest in the history of the Football League. Remarkably, supporters have continued to back their team home and away in strong numbers and have sold out away ends up and down the country.

Fans of opposition clubs have had plenty of positive things to say about the backing Wednesdayites have given, with many saying their support has been some of the best they have seen this season.

Although there is nothing but pride to play for, Owls fans will no doubt pack out the away section at the Kassam Stadium in a game which is likely to have plenty on the line for the hosts who are fighting relegation themselves. The U’s are currently third from bottom and one point from safety.

Ticket details have now been confirmed for the match on Saturday, April 25 (3pm) and Wednesday have received an allocation of 1,476. Prices range from £30 for adults, to £20 for those aged 65 and over and those between 18 to 24, to £16 for under 18s, £12 for under 13s and £8 for under seven.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday (April 15) at 9am to season ticket holders with 960 or more priority points. Those with 910 can buy at 11am and those with 860 can purchase at 2pm. There are points categories right up to general sale on Tuesday, April 21 but they are likely to sell out much sooner.

The club said that ticket sales for the trip to Middlesbrough on Wednesday, April 22 (7.45pm) will be suspended until the Oxford tickets have sold out.

The away day at Oxford will give Owls fans once last chance to cheer on their side on their travels before Wednesday finish the season at home to West Brom the following week.
