Wednesday currently have Jacob Murphy, David Bates, Alessio Da Cruz, Josh Windass and Connor Wickham on their books at present who are on loan from various leagues across Europe, but those loans currently only run until the end of this month.
With the exception of Bates, all of the loan players have played regularly since their arrival at Hillsborough over the course of the last two transfer windows, and Garry Monk has admitted that they’re very keen to reach agreements with their respective clubs in order to keep them until the 2019/20 eventually comes to an end.

Hide AdSpeaking to the media this week, the Wednesday manager said, “Those players are keen to stay and be extended until these games are finished.
“At this moment in time we’re trying to speak to clubs and seeing if that’s even possible at this moment. More so now in terms of the speed of it with the announcement - so that’s something that’s happening over yesterday and today, and hopefully we have some news on that in the next 48 hours.
“That’s something that will need to happen to help us.”
Newcastle United, Hamburger SV, Wigan Athletic, Parma and Crystal Palace, as well as the players themselves, all need to agree in order for the loans to be extended, something SWFC are hoping to organise before the proposed Championship return date of June 20th.
