With that in mind, The Star understands Wednesday are set to release the details of their 2021/22 season tickets next week ahead of that planned return, with fans eager to see what changes have been made on the back of the club’s disappointing relegation into League One last season.

Wednesday have plenty to sort out this summer, including the ongoing wage situation, reported transfer embargo and Darren Moore’s team rebuild at Hillsborough, but at least some clarity on the season tickets amid the anticipation of returning to S6 will be a step in the right direction.

You have to go back to March 2020 to find the last time that Wednesdayites saw their team play live – during a spirited 1-0 defeat against Manchester City – and back to February 2020 for the last time they saw them win.

The Owls will discover their 2021/22 fixtures on June 24th, a few days before they head back to Middlewood Road for preseason, with fans set to discover which League One opponents will mark their return to live football.
