It all ended with a 1-1 draw at Watford’s Vicarage Road, Josh Windass grabbing his record-breaking 53rd goal in Owls colours in what could be his last match wearing them. Callum Paterson grabbed the assist in what could be his last match for the club. There’s a few in that boat.
An away draw feels a fitting way to close things out; solid enough, not spectacular, but sound. For Wednesday to spend the season free from relegation stress is no small achievement and while concerns abound on the summer ahead, the campaign itself can surely only be viewed as a success.
On an afternoon the football itself was watchable rather than unmissable and two lads in fancy dress caught our eye, here are our ratings from Hertfordshire.

5. Marvin Johnson - 6
Pushed a nice few balls down the line and contributed both ways. Has given Wednesday some of his very best years and was absolutely vital in their promotion and survival. Let's see. | UGC

6. Barry Bannan - 6
'10 more years' have been requested by the support. Pushed the ball about nicely, though not everything went his way. Got a deserved and hearty ovation for another good season. The bloke never stops. | UGC

7. Svante Ingelsson - 6
Tidy and tight. Runs a lot. Perhaps tired a touch. A bits-and-pieces first season in English football. Taken off in a reshuffle with half an hour to go. | UGC

8. Josh Windass - 7
Prodded one in at the back post to become the club's highest-scoring player of the century. And how he's deserved it. Goal made up for the earlier chance missed - less said about that the better. But did what he does; linked, grafted and made Wednesday a better side. Again, let's wait and see. | UGC
