The 22-year-old has established himself well in League Two this season after joining Grimsby Town on a permanent basis over the summer, with the former Liverpool academy youngster not managing to make a name for himself a Burnley.

Under Paul Hurst he’s doing just that, putting in a number of impressive performances to aid Grimsby’s solid start to the 2022/23 campaign, and it’s said that numerous clubs further up the pyramid are keeping tabs on him.

Football Insider have stated that Wednesday are joined by Hull City and Sunderland in their interest in Glennon, though it remains to be seen whether any more will come of it at this point in time.

Wednesday currently have Marvin Johnson being used as their left wingback for the most part, while Reece James and Jaden Brown have also been used there on occasion.

The Owls have many players out of contract in the summer, and with ambitions of going up a division it’s likely that there will once again be a number of changes made to the squad in the summer – for now, however, you would think that they’re focused on getting promoted with what they have available.
