Sheffield Wednesday were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw for the second successive week at Hillsborough.
In front of more than 32,000, visitors Stockport County should have been in front by half-time after Harry Wood blazed a big chance over, Ryan Glover hit the post with a header and then Jack Diamond’s rebound was cleared off line. Kyron Gordon also flashed a header wide as Wednesday struggled to keep possession and create much of note apart from a Mason Burstow header before the break.
In the second-half, The Owls remained sloppy although Burstow might have turned in from close-range, while Ollie Norwood went close with a free-kick down the other end.
There were seven added minutes but neither side could find a winner, with the final whistle met by some boos from the home faithful. Wednesday now have to wait three weeks until their next league game.
Here are our player ratings from the game...

9. Callum Slattery 5
Back in his favoured number 10 position but was snuffed as Stockport denied him space. Will have been frustrated by a couple of heavy touches. | ugc

10. Jamal Lowe 5
Started wide left, plugged away, but rarely threatened. Went up top with 35 to go but didn't get much service. | ugc

11. Mason Burstow 4
Struggled to make anything stick up top. His header on target, Wednesday's first of the match, on 39 minutes was met by sarcastic cheers. Had a big chance after the break but it came at him quick and couldn't sort his feet out to turn in close-range. Replaced soon after on 56. | ugc
