Moore was forced into a 10-day isolation period after testing positive for COVID-19 a couple of weeks ago, missing Watford, Cardiff City and Queens Park, but returned to the training ground on Monday ahead of the visit of Swansea City.

But while he was back alongside Jamie Smith, who took charge for the previous three matches, there was no sign of his first team coach, Paul Williams who it has now been revealed is currently dealing with a bout of Coronavirus himself.

Williams was there for the 1-0 defeat at Watford, but has missed the three following games, and the Wednesday boss explained that he is still recovering from the effects of it.

Speaking to the media after the defeat to Swansea, Moore explained, “Paul Williams is suffering from some COVID as well… When I went down with mine, two days later he went down with his. He’s in a 10 day isolation period now. He was struggling before, but I’m pleased to say that he’s looking a lot better now.

“Hopefully towards the end of the week, providing he feels ok, he’ll be back in with the group again. We’re wishing him a speedy recovery.”

It remains to be seen if Williams will return to the sidelines against Bristol City this weekend, but Moore will no doubt be hoping to have one of his key staff members back and available as soon possible going into the final five games.
