Hide AdAsked whether he was concerned about Dawson’s display, Monk told the BBC: “It’s about what I made of the team’s performance.
"These last two games have been under par from everyone.
“It’s not about any individual, it’s about the collective. These last two games have been under par.”
Monk was left bemoaning the return of individual errors that infected the side’s chances of success throughout last season. There was a lack of cohesion both going forward and in defence on a night that Wednesday failed even to win a corner.
“Mistakes have crept back into our game for whatever reason,” he said. “It’s hard to put your finger on because it’s been a quick change in fortune for us.

“The challenge now is about the character and the understanding of what we need to do in these next three games. It will be a big sign of this group, how far they’ve come and how far they can go.”
