There was more late drama from the Owls as Anthony Musaba popped up in injury time to secure a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes, cancelling out Liam Kitching’s first half opener, however it counted for nought in the end as the Sky Blues got the job done from the spot after Wednesday failed to capitalise on Pierce Charles’ penalty save.
Jamal Lowe put his penalty over the bar and Olaf Kobacki saw his saved as Frank Lampard’s Coventry booked their spot in the next round of the competition, and there was certainly a mixed bag on the ratings front in what will have been a disappointed evening for the Owls at CBS Arena.
Here’s how we thought Wednesday’s players got on in their third round fixture:

5. Max Lowe - 8
Strapped on the armband and played an important technical role. Used the ball nicely through the pitch and was fascinating to watch in his positioning. | UGC

6. Nathaniel Chalobah - 6
Important to how Wednesday set up. Offered a commanding presence and saw plenty of the ball. Feels like he's being eased in along with a couple of experiments in playing style. Off at the break. | UGC

7. Shea Charles - 8
One pass early in the first half showed his huge quality - choosing to pick out a crossfield effort where other simpler balls were on. Got in good positions higher up the pitch. Frustratingly offside once or twice where he needn't have been but won fouls and played with assertiveness. | Steve Ellis / UGC

8. Svante Ingelsson - 6
Picked up the ball in good positions and threatened when there. Offered some drive from midfield but could turn ball possession in decent moments into a chance. Off with 15 left. | UGC
