Chances were few and far between in a drab game although loan debutant Alessio Da Cruz, who joined the Owls from Serie A side Parma earlier in the week, produced a lively cameo performance in the second half.
Here’s how our Wednesday reporter Dom Howson rated each player. Do you agree with him?
9. Kadeem Harris - 5
The wide man whipped in a glorious cross near the byline to set up Reach's headed chance. Harris put in a tireless shift down the left flank but there was little end product to his forward forays. Photo: Nathan Stirk
10. Adam Reach - 5
Almost scored in the dying embers of the first half with a header after a delightful Harris delivery. Struggled to impose himself in the No 10 position and was cautioned after unceremoniously bringing down Murray Wallace. Photo: Steve Ellis
11. Atdhe Nuhiu - 7
Hardly won any aerial duels and his hold up play was not the best, although the service into him at times left a lot to be desired. Not a game that Nuhiu will look fondly back on. Photo: Steve Ellis
12. Fernando Forestieri - 7
Along with Da Cruz, the little Argentine added a spark after being introduced. His creative qualities were utilised on the left and he forced Bialkowski into action after a promising Owls counter attack. Photo: Nathan Stirk
