Sheffield Wednesday are in Wales as they prepare to kick off what is surely another seminal season for them back in League One and with clubs around them in the potential promotion stakes making moves, they’ll want to crack on sooner rather than later.
Owls boss Darren Moore is working with something of a skeleton squad as they embark on a 10-day camp that will end with a clash against Scottish giants Celtic next week.
But what’s going on elsewhere? Which Wednesday man could seal a deal to a direct rival? What’s the latest on the newest name to be linked with the Owls?
Let’s take a whistle-stop tour through some of the biggest transfer talking points in the division.
1. The transfer rumour mill is kicking into action..

2. Wandering on
Bolton Wanderers have continued in their bid to make the move up to League One a smooth journey, signing Ian Evatt's former goalkeeper at Barrow. Joel Dixon, who built a solid reputation in his time with the Cumbrian minnows, signed on a free transfer. Photo: Jan Kruger
3. Bonne deal
One team that are certainly not messing about when it comes to sculpting their squad is Ipswich Town. Some 19 players are set to leave Paul Cook's side and they've brought in Reheem Harper from West Brom for a fee believed to be over £500k. Also in is QPR forward Macauley Bonne, who has already proven what a handful he can be in League One during his time at Charlton. He signs on an initial loan deal. Photo: George Wood
4. Star to Sunderland?
Sunderland will want to take their promotion bid further this season and though they look in real danger of losing a key man - more on that shortly - have set about adding some Premier League potential to their ranks in Manchester United midfielder Ethan Galbraith, who is rumoured to be joining on loan.
