Shan recently left Solihull Moors amid rumours that Moore may be looking to get him on board as part of his technical team at Hillsborough, however the new Wednesday boss has since gone on to deny that he’s looking to make any fresh additions at this point in time.

Now, with Wednesday preparing for a big game against Norwich City, Shan has spoken about the possibility of teaming up with his former West Bromwich Albion colleague, saying that it’s ‘no more than speculation’ at present.

Speaking to Write Angle Media, Shan explained, “I have a really good relationship with Darren but the last time we spoke was before he went into Sheffield Wednesday. There is nothing out there to say that I will be walking into Sheffield Wednesday on Monday morning. At this moment I can say to you that it is no more than speculation.

“He is a fantastic person and has forged himself a fantastic managerial career. I have said this to a number of people - I have a mortgage to pay and three kids to support just like anyone else and I want to get back into work. So if I got a call from anywhere to go back into a football club and do the things I love – whether it is as a manager, an assistant manager or a first team coach - I am in no position to not listen to people.

“I admired from afar the success he had at Doncaster and the brand of football he took to Doncaster and there is no doubt in my mind that Darren Moore will be a massive success at Sheffield Wednesday.”

Moore currently has Jamie Smith and Paul Williams as his assistant manager and first team coach at Middlewood Road after bringing them on board to help him for the task ahead, while former interim manager, Neil Thompson, remains part of the setup.

It remains to be seen if there will be future additions in the summer, but it looks as though this is it for now in terms of the manager’s technical team.
