Injury absence confirmed for in-form Sheffield Wednesday star Louie Barry
Sheffield Wednesday have revealed the extent of Louie Barry’s injury
In-form Sheffield Wednesday attacker Louie Barry could be out for up to three months, the club have announced.
Barry came off in Tuesday’s win over Wycombe Wanderers with replays suggesting he had turned his ankle on an artificial surface set down just a couple of inches from the touchline at Adams Park.
The 23-year-old had to be helped around the pitch by two medical staff and left the ground on crutches and wearing a protective boot.
Wednesday confirmed on Thursday that Barry ‘sustained an ankle ligament injury’ and faces three months on the sidelines.
Barry, signed from Aston Villa in the summer after productive loan spells at Stockport, has scored three times in six appearances so far this season.
