Incident in the North Stand
Play has stopped as the medical teams from both clubs deal with an incident in the North Stand.
A long throw is headed away by Jack Hunt, but only as far as Adlène Guedioura, who must be 25 yards out. The former Blade fires it in low and it creeps in under Peacock-Farrell in the centre of goal. Game on.
GOAL - 2-0!
Bannan from outside the area! A cross is headed out by Burton, but only as far as the Scot, who takes a touch and hits it with his left. The ball strikes the bottom of the post and ends up in the bottom corner on the other side of the net. Great finish.
Yellow for Niasse
Former Everton and Hull striker goes into the book for a late challenge on Hutchinson, who is down receiving treatment. Worrying for the Owls.
Almost 2-0
Some lovely play from a confident-looking Sheffield Wednesday sees Bannan find Sow with a classy flick. He drives into the box and pulls the ball back for Paterson, who is crowded out by three or four defenders before he can get a shot away.
All Wednesday so far. Great start.
A wicked low delivery from Johnson is just missed by a sliding Callum Paterson but thankfully Liam Palmer is there at the far post to convert.
Brilliant from Johnson - and a good finish from Palms!
