The 20-year-old is highly-rated at the club as one of the outstanding players to come through Wednesday’s academy and into the senior team, however circumstances have meant that he has made just four appearances in all competitions in 2020/21.

Now, after being left on the bench once again in the 3-0 defeat to Everton in the FA Cup, The Star is led to believe that a loan move away from Hillsborough may potentially be on the cards before the transfer window closes next week.

It is thought that at least one club in League One has shown an interest in the talented midfield man, and that Wednesday would be open to the idea of letting him get more games under his belt if the terms were right.

For Hunt, he is now of the age where he’ll be itching to get regular minutes playing senior football, and a loan away could do him plenty of good as he seeks to take his game to the next level.

While his contract at Hillsborough is due to expire at the end of the season, it’s understood that Wednesday do have an option to extend, and it’s likely that any loan move – if one was to materialise – would be coupled with them exercising that option to secure his immediate future.
