The Owls conceded two unanswered goals in each half as their hosts ran riot, Wednesday trying out new things on the field as they sought to break lines against a side well versed in high-pressing - at Champions League level no less. With 11 subs made at half-time and plenty of miles in the legs, the 4-0 score line does not mean Wednesday will not have got plenty out of the battle against a side operating on a different level.
There was plenty of effort shown and some bright moments in Bavaria. Here are our player ratings from the Red Bull Arena.
13. Yan Valery - 7
Got forward when he could, laid on some nice touches, looked physically able. Loud shouting in a French accent added some glamour. | SWFC / UGC
14. Bambo Diaby - 5
Pushed it about OK at short quarters but struggled as a few did in moments to calm the waters. Other passes went astray. | UGC / Steve Ellis
15. Gabriel Otegbayo - 5
Caught in possession on occasion, one that offered up a big chance. Battled back hard. Certainly looks the part in moments. | SWFC / UGC
16. Max Lowe - 5
Started brightly, getting forward and producing a half-chance. Got turned a couple of times and lost his footing. A diligent outing. | SWFC / UGC
