Sheffield Wednesday fell to a 4-0 pre-season friendly defeat at League Two Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
Calum Kavanagh headed in an early opener from close-range before Keenan Appiah-Forson doubled the lead with a curling strike from the edge of the box. The Latics grabbed a third when a trialist curled in from distance.
Jordi Liongola twice came close to pulling a goal back for Wednesday in the second-half but they struggled to create overall and they conceded a fourth with the last kick of the game when Noah Chilvers struck a free-kick into the top corner.
This was The Owls’ second game of the day after a goalless draw at Accrington Stanley at lunchtime...
Here are our player ratings from the match at Boundary Park...
1. Joe Lumley 4
Didn't cover himself in glory for Oldham's opener, headed in by Kavanagh from close-range. Denied the same man with a better save later in the half. Could hear his communication from the back throughout the contest. Made a smart one-on-one block from Nevitt. | Steve Ellis

2. Liam Palmer 4
Had a good early chance but headed over from Slattery's corner. Instructed those around him throughout. Not much attacking threat. Made a big block at the end to stop it becoming 4-0...before it eventually did. | Getty Images

3. Gabriel Otegbayo 4
Some okay moments and others where he could have done better. Perhaps could have moved the ball quicker at times.

4. Sil Swinkels 4
Similar to his centre-back partner regarding his defending. Punched some forward passes into midfield and tried diagonals. | Getty Images
