Sheffield Wednesday fell to a 4-0 pre-season friendly defeat at League Two Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
Calum Kavanagh headed in an early opener from close-range before Keenan Appiah-Forson doubled the lead with a curling strike from the edge of the box. The Latics grabbed a third when a trialist curled in from distance.
Jordi Liongola twice came close to pulling a goal back for Wednesday in the second-half but they struggled to create overall and they conceded a fourth with the last kick of the game when Noah Chilvers struck a free-kick into the top corner.
This was The Owls’ second game of the day after a goalless draw at Accrington Stanley at lunchtime...
Here are our player ratings from the match at Boundary Park...

5. Max Lowe 4
Unlucky to see his excellent cut-out eventually be curled in by Appiah-Forson for Oldham's second goal. Should have had an assist to his name but Liongola was denied. | Getty Images

6. Barry Bannan 5
Wednesdayites didn't take long to sing his song. Did a couple of Barry Bannan things - trademark passes and sliding tackles. Stung one narrowly over the bar late on.

7. Billy Mitchell 4
A bit behind others in his fitness levels and that showed here, looking a touch rusty. Replaced at half-time.

8. Jordi Liongola 5
Saw quite a lot of the ball first 45 but there was not much end product. Came close to pulling a goal back midway through second-half but sliced his effort narrowly wide. He also had a great chance to finish a lovely move from close-range but was denied by Hudson. Subbed off after that. | BELGA MAG/AFP via Getty Images
