Honestly, there wasn’t really too much to talk about after what was very much a goalless stalemate at Hillsborough… Jordan Rhodes being subbed off after only coming on at half-time was probably the biggest talking point to be honest.
Both keepers were left pretty much to their own devices during the game, which says everything you need to know about it really. Wednesday did look a lot more comfortable at the back though, and it certainly seems as though Tony Pulis is working on their defensive shape.
After all, if you don’t concede, you can’t lose...

Decent showing, but didn’t affect the game as much as he’d have liked. Photo: Steve Ellis

Full of running, closing Stoke down constantly. Didn’t have much joy in terms of attack though. Great work ethic though. Photo: Steve Ellis

Struggled to get too involved after coming on as a second half substitution, and then suffered the fate of being a subbed sub when Pulis brought him off for Brown. Photo: Steve Ellis
