Honestly, there wasn’t really too much to talk about after what was very much a goalless stalemate at Hillsborough… Jordan Rhodes being subbed off after only coming on at half-time was probably the biggest talking point to be honest.
Both keepers were left pretty much to their own devices during the game, which says everything you need to know about it really. Wednesday did look a lot more comfortable at the back though, and it certainly seems as though Tony Pulis is working on their defensive shape.
After all, if you don’t concede, you can’t lose...

Much better from him, again. Clearances, blocks and very composed in possession. Photo: Steve Ellis
6. Massimo Luongo - 6
Did his job, broke play up when he could. Wasn’t massively involved though. Photo: Steve Ellis

A tidy performance from the Wedneday youngster, who didn't at all look out of place at the heart of the Wednesday midfield alongside Luongo. Decent showing before coming off at the break. Photo: Steve Ellis

Really put himself about well. Playing much further forward as so many fans have wanted to see. Better from him. Photo: Steve Ellis
