That’s according to man-mountain centre-half Dominic Iorfa, who spoke to the local media just minutes after stepping off the field with new boys Windass and Elias Kachunga, whose signings were announced yesterday.

The duo bolster the attacking options available to Garry Monk and while the Owls boss admitted that there was still work to be done in the transfer market, Iorfa said it feels as though the squad is taking shape after what has been a busy few weeks.

“It’s good to have him back and it sounds as if it was in the pipeline for a while,” he said.

“Obviously he came in last season and he fitted in with the boys, everyone liked him, he’s a character and he fitted straight in in that dressing room.

“And he did well, he’s a good player and everyone rates him. That’s the main thing.

“Him coming back to the club was a no-brainer, he settled in straight away and he was playing games as well. It’s good to have him back in that he’s added options to the attacking line and he’s fitted in straight away.”

Asked what 26-year-old Windass brings to the squad, Iorfa revealed he was a big part of the social aspect of the club’s changing room but that first and foremost he improves Sheffield Wednesday as a team.

He said: “He’s a funny guy, he’s loud. He’s come into today, first day back and has literally picked up where he left it.

“You can tell he was happy to be here and the boys were happy to have him here too because he’s got a lot to offer.

“It’s a big boost for everyone. Whenever you have a new signing, it always adds that competition to the team. More players, new faces.

“They’re both two good players that improve the squad. As a squad we’ve got stronger which is great for training and options in matches.”
