A victory for Derby tomorrow afternoon would guarantee their Championship safety at the expense of Wednesday and Rotherham United.

For Wayne Rooney’s side a draw could even be enough, but only if the Millers don’t win, which means they still have to go for it when they host Darren Moore’s side in the final game of the campaign at Pride Park.

Shinnie has been a regular this season during what has been a tough campaign for his side, and he insists that they’ll still be focusing on themselves when they come up against Wednesday – though says that whatever their visitors throw at them, they’ll be trying to give more back.

Speaking to RamsTV, the defender said, “I’d expect us, being the home team, to come out fighting and on the front foot… As much as they want to do, our whole focus is on us and what we can do. We know if we can play well then we can win the game - it’s full focus on ourselves.”

He also said, “I’m confident in the team that we can go and do it. Talk is cheap, we need to go and put int on the pitch and do the business. I’ve said on numerous occasions in the last few that we know what we need to but we haven’t done it on the pitch. Now is the time to show it.”
