Darren Moore press conference LIVE: Sheffield Wednesday manager ahead of Shrewsbury Town tie

Dennis will be in the squad and has trained this week.

He brings something different to the other midfield players. They all bring something different in terms of that midfield, the style and flair they play with.

Dennis definitely brings that. He has the ability from defence and attack.

DM on the job in hand

We understand we’re in the industry which is results driven.

The message I’m trying to get out is that it has been a huge turnaround and rebuild. The players we have brought in gives a balance and it’s about getting them upto speed.

They need volume to their game and we’ve worked incredibly hard to get there. It’s about finding that consistency. One or two have had niggly injuries and it’s about getting that consistency.

As the weeks go by the more we’re getting there. We’re building a team to win games for this football club. It’s a solid start but we’re not happy with it.

DM on the number of wide players

I think what’s happening is that you start understanding players more and you see those relationships start going.

As the season is settling down, those attacking players are getting fit and ready and you see those trends start to develop.

Some players are suited for certain games or certain oppositions. We need to get them fit, in the building and get that work into them. That’s been happening over these weeks.

With those in the building, they’ll score goals for us.

We can be better. Those stats are there but our team is getting strong, fitter and having people in specified positions.

We see those stats and hopefully if we can get the right personnel in their preferred positions those figures will change.

We’ve had injuries to key position players.

DM on playing out from the back

In my opinion it;s the right way, it’s not the only way, it’s something I have chosen to do.

If the opportunity is on to play forward then we will do. If the opposition allow you to do that we will do that.

It’s something I have a real strong desire in as a manager and it’s something we’ll get stronger with as we go on with the time spent on it and the repetition of it.

At Plymouth we started bright. The first few passages of play were Sheffield Wednesday. After that we allowed the game to run away from us.

The only thing we’ve learned from that is that it comes early in the season and in all those games to come we have to learn from it.

We knew it was going to be a fast, footballing game with intensity. It was a game we were ready for but we didn’t perform to the levels we’ve been doing since the start of the season.

First up, DM on Plymouth

It’s been a long week really, working upto this game against Shrewsbury.

We made no bones about it, it just wasn;t good enough. We don’t take anything away from Plymouth and how they went about the game, but we didn’t set the standards we’ve had from the start of the season.

When you’re not at your best, that’s the type of result that is lying in wait for you.
