He told the club’s official website, “I’m really pleased to have Adriano on board. He brings experience and understands the game really well… He’s really good with the small details and studies individuals very well. He’ll be looking at the goalkeepers in fine detail and improving their games.

“He’s a wonderful human being, a very respectful man. He has a real work ethic and the boys will see that on a day to day basis… He’s a really positive addition to our staff and I want to welcome him to the football club and look forward to working alongside him.”

Meanwhile, on Nicky Weaver, who stepped up into the first team last season, Moore said that he’ll continue to be a big part of things at Hillsborough now that he’s returned to the academy goalkeeping department.

The Wednesday manager said, “I want to thank Nicky for helping us, he’s very much still part of things and I will be seeing him on a day to day basis… He’s with the academy, but we’re all part of the same training camp.
