The Owls have already seen their Head of Sports Science and Medicine, Tony Strudwick, agree a move elsewhere as he prepares to move down south to join Arsenal’s academy, and now there’s a possibility that first team analyst, Carl Blakemore, could be on his way out too.

The analyst spent time at West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough with Pulis during his stints there, however remained at Hillsborough when he departed the club after a tough spell earlier this year.

Club captain, Barry Bannan mentioned in a BBC Scotland interview this week that ‘there’s a lot of people leaving behind the scenes’, however a turnover in staff is to be expected on the back of relegation, especially when it comes to individuals like Strudwick who is so well respected in the game.

Wednesday are yet to confirm any staff departures or incomings as the start of preseason draws closer, however there has been talk of him potentially bolstering his technical team if the opportunity arises – and the club recently advertised for the position of first team physiotherapist.

Moore’s current technical team is made up of Jamie Smith as his assistant manager with Paul Williams and Neil Thompson as his first team coaches. Nicky Weaver stepped up from the academy to work as the first team goalkeeper coach last season, and as things stand looks set to remain there.
