Almost a quarter of those polled in a Star survey of over 1,000 Wednesday fans would keep Bannan no matter any bid that comes the club’s way (24.3%), while a further 36.3% would only want the club to consider a bid of more than £3m. Some 27.2% would take a bid of more then £2m, 9.5% of more than £1m.

Hide AdThe question over Windass throws up a similar tale. 14.6% see him as indispensible, over a third would sell him for more than £3m (33.1%) and 32.2% would sell him for a bid of more than £2m. 15.2% of those surveyed would sell Windass for a bid of more than £1m.
